- 1870: Logging in Cove (named "Balch Cove" then) by Harry Winchester, using sternwheeler "Messanger"
- 1884: Petersons move to Cove from Nebraska
- 1891: Renamed "Glen Cove" by new post office in Clum's Store on wharf
- 1896: Glen Cove Hotel built by Petersons
- 1905: Camp Seymour (YMCA) started
- 1905 Tragic death of young girls, Nancy & Jessie Rains crossing pre-bridge log jam after leaving Glen Cove school
- 1905 Lackey family moves into "Old Huggins Place" in Glen Cove
- 1905 Oles family moves to "Old Kline Place" in Glen Cove
- 1906-1907 Glen Cove Hall built and becomes social center for cove community
- 1900-1910's Lorenz brothers captain the "Tyconda" and "Tyrus" ferries daily in and out of Glen Cove
- 1909 Mabel Bergerson moves from Tacoma to become the Glen Cove schoolteacher
- 1930s: Glen Cove Hotel closes
- 1978: Glen Cove Hotel awarded National Registered Historic Place status
- 1990s: Glen Cove Hotel re-opens as B&B
